Citizens United & Citizens United Foundation file amicus brief in support of President Trump’s immigration executive order.

In our "merits" Supreme Court amicus brief, Citizens United and Citizens United Foundation contend that President Trump's Executive Order on immigration does not implicate, much less violate, the First Amendment’s prohibition against the "establishment" of an official government-backed religion. We also assert that the President had undeniable authority to issue the order because the power to control a nation's borders is an inherent attribute of national sovereignty, and since President Trump was acting pursuant to express congressional authorization his power was at its zenith.
